Managing director Peter Boylan started BTS three years ago after more than 30 years' experience in the hire industry. The former owner of several successful sales and rental operations, including Quirks Refrigeration - sold to Coca Cola Amatil in 2004 – he comes with a wealth of experience in building a loyal clientele. "You have to offer that something special," Peter says. "Sure, you need to be competitive because price comes into everybody's calculation," he says. "But, first and foremost, customers have to know that they can rely on their supplier. "They have to know they can get the best equipment and the best level of service at any time of the day or night," he says.

Peter says his staff are crucial to the business's success and many have worked for him for decades in former operations. "My philosophy has always been that if you look after your employees, they, in turn, will look after your customers," Peter says. "My staff are much more than just employees. "They know that I genuinely care about them and their future and, in the end, that's what builds a great business," he says.
