Drive Days

Drive Days are an important part of the Boylan Traffic Solutions' year.

BTS managing director Peter Boylan is an avid motorsport competitor and takes every opportunity he can to get his performance cars out on the track. A drive day where friends, family and valued clients can join in the fun is ideal.

In 2009, Boylan Traffic Solutions took part in an Australian Motor Sport Foundation fundraising drive day at Eastern Creek Raceway in Sydney.

The foundation is a not-for-profit organisation set up to assist and nurture young motor sport stars.

AMSF director and five-times V8 Supercars/Australian Touring Car Champion, Mark Skaife, was the lunchtime speaker, keeping guests entertained with some amusing tales from his days on the race track.

This year, BTS staged a product demonstration in conjunction with its annual Drive Day

On show was the groundbreaking BarrierGuard 800 steel safety barrier and SpeedCheck, a compact, low-cost speed advisory sign used in a wide range of applications including schools, shopping zones, warehouses, transport operations and commercial sites.

For the past two years, the BTS M3 performance cars have been trucked up to Queensland's Lakeside Raceway for customer drive days.

In 2009, drivers Peter Boylan and Peter Mackay clocked up 260 laps between them in a five-hour session which saw about 50 hot lap passengers treated to a heart-stopping thrill ride.

In 2010, touring car legend Allan Moffat, OBE, stepped in to drive after Peter Boylan sustained a badly broken arm in a fall.
